Ok so i found a friend with a 35% off coupon that expired on the 3rd. So what did i do. I got an e1705 of course. T2400 duo 7800go 1 gig at 667 7200rpm 80gig hd trulife screen with pro.Whois that guy with the pimp lappy, that would be me o yeah im absolutely exstatic. I know it wont be here for a week but i am already checking my doorstep daily. But im not just checking in to gloat even though it was 3k configed and less that 2 with the coupon. After i do the system wipe what drviers should i use., and i need specifics, for instance should i go with the extreme-g omega or stock drivers for the nvidia. I just dished out a lot of cash on this "laptop" and i would like to have it run like i did. SO please any driver suggestions would be welcome. Oh yeah and if dell sends me a coupon you people will be the first to know. IM not gonna ebay a coupon, after all. O and one more thing, why do they send those those super sweet 35 and 40 percent off coupons to people who just bought a computer? Do they just want to rub in the fact they could have gotten a better deal.

Congrats on your purchase! The first thing I'd do is reformat you laptop. SG has some great guides and they are located at the top of the dell section.... Definitely use omega drivers or some other drivers Dell's drivers are trash and they underclock most of their laptop cards by 10-20%. Have fun, and let us know how you like your new system when you get it!

Definitely reformat, and get you video card clock speed up to stock. Will raise 3dmark score up to 2500 points. I used mobileforce drivers from tweaksrus... Plenty of people here will help you! This e1705 is freakin sweet!
