I email EPP, they say email CC, they say email EPP, they say email CC, I get fed up and try to chat with CC, they won't help, and none of my emails have come back yet and I can't get through on the phone. I don't have all day long to be on hold.

All I really want to do is change my warranty to the 4 year at home instead of the 1 year limited. There's a $70 difference after a MIR. It looks like a steal. But no one wants to help me and change my order...hell, I couldn't even cancell it if I wanted to at this point because it looks like no one is able to do anything about it. I'm about to just call a random number at Dell and scream at them when they try to transfer me to a different department or tell me to contact someone else.

It's really pissing me off. All this work to put more money in their pockets. [ :(!] Any ideas?

    EDIT:
    email send to EPP (again)

Hello, I have been trying for quite some time to have someone modify my order. Please help. I would like to change my 1 year limited warranty to the "SAVE$100 (After Rebate) -4 Yr Ltd Warr,4 Yr At-Home plus Nights and Weekend" plan. Please keep in mind this will change my member discount to 12% and I also would like to have the difference in cost applied to my Dell Preferred account so I can get the 2% off deal on the difference. Please advise me how to send in for the rebate as well. Thank you.

I really am trying to be nice here, but I'm getting so mixed up I really have no idea what's going on now so I want them to change that and also tell me where the rebate is so that when it doesn't work I know who to come back at.

    Hi,

It always helps to rather talk to them over Phone, Email processing as in my case(to change a spec) took about 4 days for them to reply back(while the Dell site said, they would contact in a bit).

So, I called and got my order changed( +x300card). Best of Luck.

I recently went through the same thing. I just wanted to upgrade from 3 yr to 4 yr since it would end up being less after rebate. They said they would have to cancel my order and resubmit it. I cancelled and am glad I did. There is a 30% discount in the education store that was not there before. Now I will get a better system with 4 yr for $50 less than I would have paid if I did not cancel yesterday.

Earlier today I got a break between classes at college and after being transfered, given a phone number and extension that didn't work, and calling just the phone number I got someone who was knowledgeable and modified my order without changing my shipping date.

So now I am happy and hope I never have to call Dell again until I want a new system years from now. [ :)]
