This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I live in the UK and Dell don't do coupons here. Apart from the offers included on their notebooks, is there anyway to save money on them? If I wheedled convincingly enough on the phone lines would it be possible to save 10 or 20%, perhaps? Thanks in advance for any suggestions :).

    Yes, you can. I read a thread somewhere here that someone got an M1710 for about $2200 by haggling prices with someone over the phone. Do a search, I can't remember the thread at this moment.
