    Hi guys,

So my 1400 has just been dispatched apparently (Am I one of the first few to get one in the UK? (providing it does come, jumping a head a bit of myself) )...anyway, I was wondering for all you 1400/1420 users what the first things i should do are?

I will do a fresh install depending on the level of "crap" on it and whether I think it's worth it which I suspect it will be, but I'm thinking more of issues like the DV2500's webcam driver? Are there are any issues with the 1400 I should be aware of like that providing the screen is not grainy and the battery doesn't fall out lol....

Also what do dell provide - a OS disc with their pre-loaded software on and drivers, just the OS and drivers or a clean OS disc? Something else (Do they supply the Vista Anytime Upgrade disc?)?

    Ta muchly,

    Matt

If you opted out of the Anti-virus, I personally think that it is not as useful IMO. And for my 1400, I had to talk to Dell chat to get my CDs with all the drivers and a Business Edition reinstall

Unless you told them not to give you reinstallation disks Dell will provide disks of your OS (and just your OS), drivers and pre-installed software (Roxio, etc). That driver disk should theoretically contain all the drivers needed for the machine to run, webcam and all.
