I just ordered an E1705 here are my specs:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7200 (2.00GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 667 MHz FSB)
    Windows Vista™ Home Premium
17 inch Wide Screen XGA+ Display
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
160GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
    8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    Integrated Audio
53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
    Intel PRO/Wireless 3945a/g
    Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal

Two questions: I am feeling a little worried that I did not add the UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife, it was an extra $150, but I am a web and graphic designer and would like to have the best screen will I regret not adding this feature?

And does anyone have any suggestions for a nice bag, seems like bags for Apple products are so much better then pc products, I want something nice like the INCASE sling, specs for that looks like it will fit the 17" Dell but I don’t want to buy it and it does not, any suggestions for something that is not bulky in a sling type?

    Thanks and great forum.

As a graphic designed you might have been better going for a dedicated graphics card.

For 2D stuff, the intel 950 is a good card, actually

If you work professionally as a web and graphic designer, I think you should go for the better screen. I think it would be a huge gain for doing those things.

With the videocard, I don't know what you're doing with the computer. If you tell us what specifically you use it for we can give you better guidance such as which applications do you use the most?

If I were you, I would get a faster, smaller HDD and add the better screen.

With the bag, I got the MobileEdge backpack sold through Dell. It has great corner protection and a lot of room.
