So I have a $300 Gift Card to Dell, but apparently you can only use it on the Home & Home Office store. But I want to buy a Latitude, which is only available in the Small Business store. Any loopholes that I can use? (I don't want to sell the Gift Card, I'd rather use it.)

Call Dell and ask? I don't know - its pretty difficult to find a loophole in their site, and if you do, it'll be once in a blue moon. Calling would probably your best bet, but then again, they might just turn you down.

Is a gift card considered a promotion? Does this mean I can't use my gift card with a 20% off Inspiron coupon?

If I don't use the coupon on a laptop, can you peeps give some recommendations on how to spend it?

I called Dell, they won't let me use the 'Home and Home Office' gift card to buy a Latitude since it's in the 'Small Office' store.

So any suggestions on how to spend the gift card (assuming I buy the Latitude without the gift card)?

Ok, I have found a way to use my 'Home and Home Office' coupon to buy a Latitude - you can use the 'Home and Home Office' coupon at the Dell Outlet store, and the Dell Outlet store sells Latitude. I'm surpised no one knew that (including the 3 or so people at Dell I have talked to).

Now, the next question - when you do you think C2D will show up in the Dell Outlet? What is the return-to-outlet time frame? Are we talking October 2006 or sometime in 2007? Doubtful anyone here would know, but asking just in case.

So I guess people only post on this forum when they want to complain about shipping time or to talk about their XPS M1210?

You can. On the payment screen there is a Gift Card section.

Thanks for the warning, I guess I'll call Dell tommorrow and see if this card is valid on the Outlet store. Funny thing is they don't sell gift cards for the outlet store.
