The first screen is on the Vostro 1720, the second is the Studio 17.

What is the difference in these screens?

What would be better for watching streaming video.

Computer would be used for internet, word processing and watching streaming video on the internet?

I do believe that the anti-glare screen is supposed to be matte, but I don't see the option on the Studio 17... maybe you've got the two switched?

There isn't really a performance difference going between glossy and matte screens; it's really a personal preference as to which one is "better". I prefer matte screens as glossy screens can have a lot of glare and a tendency to attract fingerprints...

the anti glare screens are typical on office oriented computers where lighting is not controlled.

the glossy screens produce sharper less washed-out colours indoors in a home environment.

alot has to do with personal preference.
