I'm waiting for the new coupons to come out for next week, but this looks like a sweet deal... at least from what I see (not sure?). I'm not sure about the quality of the keyboard in comparison to the other Thinkpad.

$1,589.00 Canadian (minus $100 for coupons?)

    Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2500 (2MB
    Cache/2GHz/667MHz FSB)

Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005, English

    15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife™

2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM

    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™Go 7300 TurboCache

120GB Hard Drive - $100 Value (Is this 5400 RPM? I'm assuming it is since the other option is the 7200 RPM)

    8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability

    Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card (54Mbps)

85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

Or maybe the price will drop even lower in the following week? (This expires on August 25)

Not a bad deal, but don't get the nVidia 7300. It is no where better than the X1400 maybe the X1300.

    Go for the X1400.

I just bought my laptop a few days ago (and it comes on Monday!!) and for about the same price it had all those specs except half of your RAM. So I'm kinda bummed. You should go for it if you can.

As mentioned before, other than the video card choice, that is a really good deal!

For Nvidia 7200 and X1400, why is the 7200 priced higher if the x1400 is better? just for the name?

yea pretty much it is beause of the name...dell is just trying to make more money on an inferior card, and it works cuz most ppl think that more expensive = better.
