there is really no reason to use 3dmark05. its just an outdated benchmark. synthetic benchmarks are basically useless, but there is at least a little value in being able to compare cards of the same generation and series if you use the most up to date bench.

I used 05 because it's what I had downloaded. But now I'll start the huge download for the other two, vantage and 06...

In the meantime, anyone have insights into my numbers?

    Can't run PCmark05 on my 1530 and haven't run 3Dmark05.

I'll be interested to see your Vantage and 3Dmark06 scores.

Wow, that's pretty high for 1440x900.

With 2GB of ram I only got 43**something.

Which driver are you using exactly?
I'm settling for 175.12. It seems pretty stable but doesn't run as fast as 174.XX's in benches.

Yeah you have a helluva processor and HD advantage on me too. I'd expect you to beat mine by quite a bit :)

Not bad I'd say, considering your CPU is kinda limiting... but this can also be an upgrade point maybe next year when 9300/9500 gets cheap enough. You should get a very noticeable boost in performance.
