Ok I made a purchase from dell outlet on friday.

    Dell Inspiron 9300

    Pentium m 760 2.0 ghz

17 inch u xga with truelife

    1 gig dual channel DDR2 533mhz

    256 mb Go6800

    60 gig 5400 rpm

    cd-rw/dvd

    Dell 1450 wireless 802.11 a/b/g 54mbs

    XP Professional

    9 cell battery

    1 year warranty

    Dell deluxe nylon carrying case

    total after tax and shipping
    $1760.00

Did I make a smart move?Is this a good price?I usually don't even consider refurbished but because of Dells excellent reputation and the one year warranty I figured I have nothing to loose.

nice specs, exactlly what i had built for my 9300..but went with a different computer instead. (700m)

anyway that is not a bad price at all i dont think
however i do think you could have gotten it new with those specs for cheaper using the 750$ off coupons that dell has out now.
but not a bad choice at all.

It looks like the benefits are, I save over 400.000 from buying a new one, and comes with the same warranty as a new one and shipping only takes 2 days. I figured the worst thing that can happen is a 35 percent off coupon comes along next week or two and I miss out on saving 100 bucks at the most for a new one, with the same warranty.

Yeah I was wanting to ask,
How much does it cost to purchase an additional 1 or 2 year warranty which covers accidential incidents as well as defects on this refurbished laptop? I tried looking for prices on dell's website but couldn't find them. I wouldn't mind spending an extra 100.00 dollars for this kind of coverage becuase there's no telling what the college enviroment is gonna do to this thing on down the road.

yea for the $$ you saved it would be a good idea to call Dell and ask them how much they would charge you to add another year and accidental protection.

plus if you bought it using a credit card alot of them offer to cover it for 1 extra year past the maqn. warranty. It mirrors the dell warranty. thats why I put mine on my Amex. card
