Good deal on a M1530, but the obvious question - which LCD??

I had a 1720, returned it due to the display. Ordered a Sony FZ that shipped yesterday and today they had a $225 price drop on my configuration! I am sending it back. So, for grins (I LOVE to second guess myself) I looked at the M1530's - and what a deal. Got a nice $2175 configuration w/3 year premium coverage for $1575 - $600 off!

But what display?? I have a 15.4 - 1280x and I had the 1440x900 on the 1720 which looked almost the same comparatively. So for those who have had both, is there a really big difference in the two "looks" wise? I actually raise the DPI a little on my 1280x800 now. I know that regardless I have a chance at getting the dreaded Samsucks - but I might be more lucky with a 1280? Right? (read a lot on the display issue and I never really determined if 1280 had a better chance than 1440, but it seems 1280 is ordered less).

Similar configuration with the new LED on the Business M1530 is about $300 more.

    Thanks all!

I'd get the 1440x900. It is pretty standard compared with the 1280x800. The smaller size is too small for me.

But mine, even with the Samsung screen, is pretty damn good. The LG is better but the newer parts they're using in the Samsungs are pretty nice. Much better than the grainy old Samsung models.

The poor quality screens are mostly seen in the 1680x resolution. You should be fine with the 1440.
