    Got Media Direct 3.1 working with Vista on Clean Install

    Did the dell live chat, told them I bought a copy of Vista and I needed a CD of Media Direct that would work with it. They sent me it DHL next day. Very easy, run the new CD, it re-partitions your HD. Reinstall Vista. Then rerun the CD from Vista, it installs Media Direct. Boom your good to go. Smooth sailing so far.

    did you have to pay for shipping?....because my mediadirect button is worthless right now.....while running vista that is.

    We already had a guide posted here before. AFAIK Even the MediaDirect 3 DVD shipped with XP preinstalled DELLs work with Vista, you dont need a special disk.

    Ah, I didn't see that, though I'd rather just have CD that work right off the bat, so if you contact Dell you should be able to get them. And no dell did not charge for shipping.
