    MMMMMMMMM loving it. Uninstalled dell "fluff" ware and optimized performance (start up, ect). Only quiffs are: should have got 256 vid/card (got 128) and svga+ monitor (got the mid grade truebrite). Other than that ,,,,,,,I 'm in LOVE> Plan on keeping it for a year and then upgrading so hey, it's cool>

    specs. 1.66ghz/80gb hdd/x1300/512 ram (more coming)/dvdrw/dell wireless/

    could you test some games with the x1300? and some pics of the laptop would be nice! oh and how's battery life? I ask you cause I ordered one with almost the same config than yours.. but 1gig of ram and intel wireless

    i ordered it 3/17 then callcelled and reordered on 3/21 (upgrade vid card) got it 4/4 . original ship date was 4/17 then 4/12 then 4/04. :)

    will be testing with call of duty 2. will post

    6/cell batt life is acceptable. 2 hours +. disable unused features. wireless card, dail-up modem, ect. (have dsl w/ rj-45) tech-talk (wired)

    well it ran fine with call of duty 2. but only with the "force Direct x 7" option selected. Otherwise (default setting) very choppy but i only have 512mb of ram for now. Another 512 should (i guess) give me better experience. Question:
    Will my x1300 only max with 128mb vid ram no matter if i have 512 or 2gb of ram? Or will it use more system memory if its available?

    Yep... the x1300 has 64mb dedicated and will draw an additional 64mb from system ram if needed. You can have 512mb or 2mb and it still works the same.
