could you test some games with the x1300? and some pics of the laptop would be nice! oh and how's battery life? I ask you cause I ordered one with almost the same config than yours.. but 1gig of ram and intel wireless
-
How long did it take for Dell to ship yours after order?
-
i ordered it 3/17 then callcelled and reordered on 3/21 (upgrade vid card) got it 4/4 . original ship date was 4/17 then 4/12 then 4/04.
will be testing with call of duty 2. will post
6/cell batt life is acceptable. 2 hours +. disable unused features. wireless card, dail-up modem, ect. (have dsl w/ rj-45) tech-talk (wired) -
so? waiting for your testings
-
well it ran fine with call of duty 2. but only with the "force Direct x 7" option selected. Otherwise (default setting) very choppy but i only have 512mb of ram for now. Another 512 should (i guess) give me better experience. Question:
Will my x1300 only max with 128mb vid ram no matter if i have 512 or 2gb of ram? Or will it use more system memory if its available? -
Yep... the x1300 has 64mb dedicated and will draw an additional 64mb from system ram if needed. You can have 512mb or 2mb and it still works the same.
