I just got this with the 15% off promotion that they are running, it shipped today so I haven't received it, but I think I got a pretty good deal when comparing to new. But I don't know what promos are running against new systems either...

    Thoughts anyone?

I really wanted an m15x (I will be trying to carry this thing around) anyone want to trade for a similar config m15x .

Only thing I am wondering about is the CPU... I figure I can upgrade to T7700 and eBay the old one for a net cost of $125 or so (penryn cost too much for the gains I think, doubt I will even need to upgrade to the T7700, but don't know, or if I find some money an X7900 for a net of maybe $300):

Nice laptop. Not much a fan of the 1730 though....way to heavy for me. I prefer the smaller and lighter lappys with good performance. Don't need a high-end gaming laptop, since I will use my laptop mostly for school affairs. Can't always carry a 15 pound lappy to class everyday can you? hehe...

No doubt, took my having firefox up with autorefresh on for a few weeks (off and on depending on what XPS outlet deals were going). STILL almost lost it :).
Urs is better, mine has T7300, looking to upgrade that now :).... although I did get 2x200GB 7200 RPM. But then I only needed one since I already have one. You wanna trade a T7300 and 200GB 7200 RPM for that T9300 :)?

BTW, how did you get ur deal so cheap? Is that deal still available, or was it a personal connection?

I am having doubts about that right now. I will be carrying this every day with power supply... sometimes quite a bit. The M15X is what I really wanted(or basically a 15.4 w WUXGA, 1 8800M, option for 2xHDD), but I am nervous about em after hearing the initial reviews, they are pretty darn expensive for what you get, and they have no options for CC warranty which is a deal breaker for me on a lappy. I am hoping that there will be more 15.4s with 880M soon, or 9800M even :). Some of the other features on the AW are really great bonuses though, lightup KB, dual video for extra batt life (I would TOTALLY use that, what a great idea!), great connectivity, etc. THey came up with a great laptop, just too much plastic and failure along with bad service for the $.
