Got another! ha ha. Dell inspiron 11 3000 2 in 1.

Just ordered a I 11 3000 2 in 1 for my wife in glacier white. I got the 4 gb/500gb model but as soon as it gets here I am upgrading to 8gb of ram and a 512gb SSD. I am very interested to see this computer. Sounds like a better version of our surface 3s we had. The keyboards of the surface plus limited storage space was their downfall. No such issues with the dell.

 

Let us know how the upgrade goes. I picked up an 11 3000 about a week ago and am looking to get it to 8GB and 2TB. Processor and HD speed are not really an issue for me but it would be the perfect little traveling pc if I can get 2TB+ of storage w/o having to carry a bunch of accessories and open some very large database files without waiting 20 minutes for the swap file.

 

Will Do. The 11 3000 is for my wife, she loves card making, scrapbooking etc. So keeping all her files on the SSD, and being able to control her die cutters, printers etc while also being able to travel and use as a tablet etc is great!

 

Just got the computer started up yesterday. It is an awesome little computer. My wife loves it. Its the perfect size device, fairly fast and touchscreen is the beans!

 

My Dell 3168 is fine with the N3710, 4gb ram and a 240gb SSD, the 500gb HD is just too slow

 

Good to know DRFP. I have since decided to upgrade both our computers with 2 tb SSD for storage space when travelling and writing our blog and video programs.

 

Nice, wow 2tb, I use the 250-240 ish GB and then external HDs ( 2 500gb and 1 1.5 tb) for my storage) but I just email, write papers and blog a little bit myself. a lot of studying Medicine too LOL.

Also to add, projection on my roku works well with this laptop and my HP as well. I use it for PP and movies now

 

hmmmmm. Maybe it works on my dell too. I have to check after. add kodi to the mix!

Yeah. Doing blogs and video blogs...takes a lot of space!

 

I am going to try the Firecuda 2tb hybrid drives. Each 1 tb drive here cost more than each of our notebooks. After doing some research, the hybrids seem very interesting. 1tb Samsung SSD 549. 2tb firecuda 189.

 

I have the 2tb firecuda in my machine now and its awesome. I am getting the 1tb firecuda for my wife's machine.
