    Ok I received my Studio 17 today! First laptop EVER! Any suggestions on what I should do before I start really using it?

    How do you make the keyboard light up/turn off?

    Any help is appreciated!

    I got the Plum Purple and it is Plumb Awesome! :D :D

    i think i remember reading that the backlit keyboard is controlled by function and right arrow but I'm not sure...

    how are you getting the dates for the production of your laptop? mine just says in production and when i click on it it explains what it means.

    Call 1-800-433-9014 if you in the states. Then type in your order number and it will tell you what part of production you are in.

    I got my Studio17 today too! The keyboard is the function key and the right arrow.

    I know with my laptop I uninstalled mcaffee and downloaded around 18 windows updates. After that I downloaded a few updates from dell too. I know I had to download a big update when I first used the Blu-ray player.

    Oh, I really like the accessories you got for a companion to your new lappy!

    That's a pretty nice mouse, and the HD looks good too! Nice choices!
