    Hey,

I just got back from SJ, and my m1330 had been waiting for me at the house.

    I have few questions!

1.) How do I check if my screen is LED backlit? When I go into Display Properties, it just says Generic PnP Monitor. Any ideas?

2.) What drivers should I use for the nVidia 8400M GS? I heard not to get it from nVidia's website.

3.) I had bookmarked a thread that had all the junkware that can be uninstalled from new comp, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone can provide me with a link?

4.) Is there anyway to uninstall Windows Vista features such as Meeting Space, Card Space (?), Windows Mail, etc? I tried looking under add/remove windows components, but not in there!

5.) Is it safe to uninstall Dell Support Center software? Do I really need it?

6.) Any other things I should do on this new laptop to improve performance or any other glitches with the m1330 drivers that should be fixed? I remember reading something about screen brightness changing, etc.

    Thanks a lot!!

PnP is a type of diode, as in L.E.D. Light Emitting Diode.. so sounds like its led.

PnP means plug and play... link. Windows doesn't know what it is but it is able to use it since most monitors work the same. That's why it's "generic".

Yeah, PnP is Plug and Play. So how do I confirm it's LED backlit, and not regular one?

Lol, looks like Lotsu was making it up as he was going along. Lotsu if you don't really know don't give false info about terms used in Vista in regards to the display. :p
