Well my Vostro 1500 has the grainy AUO and the horrible cpu-whine, otherwise it's really nice. Fast performance.

I might return it though, and get another system. I've had it for 5 weeks. What's the chances of them allowing me to return it? How much will the fee be?
The chances of getting a nice lg screen is small and it would be time consuming getting a new one, actually they aren't even letting me replace the screen atm.
I'd maybe like to try a Macintosh.
(Support phone isn't open at this time)
So what'd ya reckon me to do?

I had these problems too and returned my Vostro 1500 twice, however within the 30 day period. I am not sure about your chances but keep trying until you find a tech support guy who might accept return or a replacement.

They're not going to let you return it, however, you can always try to get it repaired.

    Damn.

There are some stuff i'd like to change though..
    I'd like a 7200rpm harddrive, Draft-N and bluetooth...
Will this be expensive to add? What should i do with tha old harddrive?? Will they take it?

    Buy the parts elsewhere...

eBay the old HD or do a trade...
