There's something wrong with Inspiron 1720. See images below. Also, Whenever I put my computer to standby or is sleeping for long periods of time, it sometimes doesn't come up, just a black screen when I wake it up. Whenever this happens, my computer locks up and resumes at random. I get an error message (forgot what it was) whenever my computer goes into screen saver. All of this must've been caused by my graphics card/driver. The graphics in Command & Conquer 3 is screwed up. any advice?

as a last resort yes. but I need some advice to how I can fix this problem. If there aren't any, then I'll resort to that.

    Couple of things to try....

1: Donwload this free driver cleaning software:

    http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745

Run it and uninstall your video cards drivers.

2: Donwload the latest Nvidia driver software (beta version)

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_169.12.html

Download the file. Extract it to a folder in your desktop (try using winrar for extracting it)

3: Download the "modded" inf file to make the Nvidia driver work on your dell.

You need to get it from laptopvideo2go.com (down right now), but maybe someone in the forums can upload the file for you.

    OR

You can try using the latest driver available through Dell.

that first link you gave me doesn't support Windows Vista based on what I read.
