    Graphics Card Capability for 1420

    Pardon the noob question, but can the 1420 support an updated graphics card if one becomes availible? Also, what certain specifications are required for another dedicated graphics card to be compatible with the 1420? Is the current 8400m the best card available for the system?

    I doubt Dell will have a stronger GPU option besides the 8400M GS, so I would built mine with it.

    Most probably yes, But as jujube said, I also don’t think they will release anything much faster than a 8400GS. Maybe something 10% or 20% faster but nothing comparable to an 8600 GT (if that is what you are thinking).
