Hey there. I own an Inspiron E1505 that has installed an Nvidia Geforce 7300. At least that is what i thought i ordered. On line they tell me i ordered "CARD(CIRCUIT),GRAPHICS,256MB,G72,I6400" when my system gives me "GEforce Go 7300 with Dedicated video memory 128MB".
My problem is are they the same?
In any case can i upgrade my card with a newer one with 256MB?
It seems not to run the video games very fast.
Any ideas-suggestions would be appreciated.
I am really dissapointed with my selection.![]()

Yes, that is the same card as your order. G72 means nVidia and the 7300 is the only nVidia card offered on the E1505. Also, the card is 128MB dedicated memory and 128MB shared (from RAM) for a total of 256MB.
Anyway, you can upgrade the graphics card but your only option for upgrading is going to a X1400. You'll have to get the card directly from Dell, or from eBay. The card must be from another E1505 or a E1705 if you get it off of eBay. -
ATI M52 and M54 can work on e1505 / insp6400

IMO, the X1400 is a DOWNGRADE however...
