I've wondered about this while I was shopping for my Studio 15 and now I'm helping another NBR user also find one via Dell Outlet.

Graphite Gray (apparently no longer available on new models) was offered with Black, Red, Blue or Pink trim. What areas of the notebook are in the "trim" color? Also, can anyone describe the shade of blue used on the Graphite Gray with Blue Trim?

    Many thanks!!!

The blue was between royal and navy. A nice blue in my opinion, not too dark or light.

The trim was on where the black rubber on the side and top of the monitor are and also on the plastic sides where the inputs are.

Thanks for all the info, especially the photo showing the four trim colors. I'm a little jealous now- my Midnight Blue Studio 15 is nice, don't get me wrong...but the Graphite with Blue or even Black is SHARP!

Has anyone heard why they quit offering these? I'm wondering if there was a production problem, low take-rate or some other reason???

Not just SHARP....it's STUNNING! Much nicer than the Flamingo Pink color option.....a little Pink goes a loooonnnnnggg way! It works great as an accent and is a perfect contrast to the Graphite Gray...the same goes for the Red, too. Alone the Red is a bit much, but as an accent it really stands out!

Now I'm starting to think my Midnight Blue just looks like I splattered a Smurf across the lid! :p And the Flamingo Pink makes me think of Pepto-Bismol....and that song "Barbie Girl" plays in my head when I see it, too!

Too bad DELL wasn't offering the Flamingo Pink yet when the last Legally Blonde was filmed....they could have landed some killer product placement spots with it!

Graphite Grey is still available in India, on the Studio 1535/1537. ( http://www.dell.co.in/, make sure to clear any cookies of US or other Dell sites or it may still take you to the other site!). Though in India the price is much higher. It still is ok though (45800 INR w/taxes).
