No idea what to do. I have no warranty on it.

All that happens is the power light comes on and the hard drive spins up.

No posting, nothing on the screen. I hope this thing didn't pull a thinkpad and blow its motherboard on me. If it did, I'm going to be quite upset.

did you fiddle with the BIOS lately..??
Try a BIOS reset, by removing all sources of power, such as AC, battery, USB devices and then press the power button for 20 seconds, then boot....!!

Last time I updated my BIOS was back in November.

I read this RIGHT as I was on the way out the door for work and pulled the battery and unplugged it.

When I got back, I held the power button for 20 seconds, plugged it back in and it fired up. Next, I tried it with the battery and it worked.

Guess it's kinda like the flooded car? Hold the pedal to the floor while cranking.

Pretty normal, sometimes the capacitors need to be unloaded, we would do this all the time in my old IT job as a first step check to pcs that don't turn on.

Remove the adapter + battery, hold power button for 10 seconds, put battery back in, turn on. works about 95% of the time.
