Are you using a Dell laptop with an Intel Graphics Card AND a Samsung/SEC screen? If yes then chances are your experiencing a blueish tint and desaturated colours. Not to mention the dim brightness!
I have worked out colour schemes for the Intel Graphics Properties control panel that makes an incredible difference to the colour and brightness of the SEC screens.
The following 5 colour profiles below are ones I have created, and adding them to your laptop is very easy to do. I encourage everyone to try at least one profile - you'll be suprised at how much more bearable the screen becomes.
Step One
Right click on your desktop wallpaper, and select 'Graphic Properties' from the drop down list.
Step Two
A window should open with the Intel settings for your graphics card. Please click on 'Color Correction' down the left hand side of options.
Step 3
The first section of the Colour Correction tab has 'Color' with a radio button for 'All' or 3 buttons for Red, Green and Blue. Place a dot for Red.
Now look below in Step 4 for the colour information and move the sliders to match what I have provided. You will be entering Gamma, Brightness and Contrast numbers for ALL three colours.
For increased accuracy when selecting the correct number, first click on the slider you need to change with the mouse then use your Keyboard's left and right arrow keys to increase or descrease the number by one step at a time.
Step 4 - Values for Step 3
Please start off with this first profile, it will give you increased brightness and colour saturation, while removing the blueish tint.

Step 5
Now that you have entered the above information, press the apply button to see the changes. Hopefully you like what you see![]()
Now click on the 'Scheme Options' button in the same window.
A new window should appear that lets you enter information about the Scheme you are about to create. In the name field enter a name of your choice - I call this one 'Favourite'. After typing in the name simply press the 'Save' button and press ok to close that window.
Step 6
Close the Intel Graphics setting window, and right click on your desktop. You should now have an option in the right click window to choose a 'Scheme'. You should be able to select the scheme you just created before, with the name of your choice.
To test that this is working, open up the Intel graphics settings again. Click on the 'Color Correction' option, and press the 'Restore Defaults' open. Instantly the colours will go back to their 'unique' state. Now press OK in the graphics setting window to close it. Right click again on your desktop, and move your mouse over 'Select Scheme' and click on the scheme you just created. The colours should change straight away, if they do then you have done a great job in following this guide.
Step 7 Just for those insane tweakers out there![]()
The scheme created above should be good for 99% of computer use, but if your like me and move between indoor, outdoor, flourecant and incadencent lighting then your going to want different schemes to choose from.
Below are more settings you can add. After entering the R,G and B values save the scheme like we did above with a new name and see the difference between each scheme - this will let you decide on your favourite colour settings.
The scheme 'Outdoor' is fantastic when you've just put the brightness all the way up but the screen is still too dark to comfortably read text. It does look aweful inside, but as I said it is for Outdoor use mainly.
