That does seem like a major scam. 400 pounds is roughly 800 dollars and I am sure those blu-ray drives are like a 300 dollar upgrade (US). If you can get him in like a McDonald's or other place with a bunch of people and bring along a big buddy, get him to turn it on and such and make sure he doesn't switch it or nothing, but dude, major sketch.

he has not replied to my email as of yet.

He says he has 20 units, and will give a 10% discount if i buy more than one.

Supposid it is run by ebay (gumtree uk)

But never used it, but other people have, if he does not respond to my questions then will report it.

I asked why he doesnt sell on ebay, as he could get double his money all day everyday. weird ?

Smells like a scam. Unless the seller is extremely generous (or crazy), or maybe he'll bait and switch you when you buy.

    he has not responded.

Asked about credit card sales, and also deliver by UPS.

Why sell a £1000.00 laptop for 400.00 when you could get 900.00 for it all day long on ebay?

Is he selling them out of his mom's apartment, or a grey van?

The blu-ray drive (at least the slot loading one on the m1530 is a $500 USD option)

If it be true, I would send over cash+ to you, haha. Keep us posted on his antics, I am sure this will be one for the books.
