I had a Dell 8200 with pretty much the exact same specs (except mine had separate CDRW and DVD drives, one for each media bay), and I returned mine within 2 weeks for the following reasons:

    1. UXGA resolution and display is amazing, but text and icons are extremely small. Now, I have good eyes, but this was too small for me, as I do a lot of word processing. Adjusting the resolutions to lower ones resulted in a a blurry effect (if you've ever seen the resolution adjusted on a laptop screen to a lower one, you know what I mean... things just aren't "sharp"... they're not unreadable by any means, but it looks like a piece of glass is placed over the screen and you're now looking through that). This happens on my 600m, too... so it's not a system specific issue.

    2. When I got mine, the system has just come out and the GeForce2Go cards were brand new. The integration with the system board wasn't completely worked out yet, and whenever I played a DVD, the mouse would turn into a large, white box filled with TV screen-like static. Called Dell and they said, at the time, that this was a known issue and they were just going to have to try to work it out and see if they could improve the GPU integration. I assume they did it, because they kept selling the GeForce2Go cards in their systems. Maybe yours is a later production model and the bugs will be worked out.

Whew... I know you wanted an opinion as to whether or not this was a good deal, and I would have to say yes. Just wanted to tell you about some of the things that I didn't like about that particular model line. However, you may be perfectly happy with it. I got my new 600m off ebay and have been nothing but pleased with it. I hope that you're as pleased with yours as I am with mine. Good luck!
