I have the m1330 with 2.2ghz proc and 8400m and windows xp.

i plugged my xbox360 hd-dvd player into it, thinking i would have no problems!

    WRONG...

The movie stutters terribly. Now, it's been my experience that c2d @ 2.2ghz is MORE than enough to get these movies at full FPS.

    Anyone run into trouble?

Anyone know if the 8400m has Purevideo HD? for xp?

Try reducing the video aspect ratio (zoom).

i didnt plug the xbox into it. i plugged the xbox360 Hd-Dvd add-on into it. I've used the add-on on many other pcs with slower procs and had no problems.

    reducing the AR doesnt help

it seems that nvidia purevideo HD doesnt work with the drivers i have (XP, 6.14.11.6909 11/12/2007)

I took HA off and now i get good FPS, but cpu spike up to 100% often.

Did you plug it into the notebook through the HDMI port? That would be cool, because everything I have seen so far has said that the HDMI port cannot accept incoming signals.

No, the 360 HD-DVD drive is USB, IIRC. The HDMI on the 1330 is output only.
