So I hear occasional popping and clicking and I swear it is my notebook's drive. I burned a diagnostic disc, booted into that and ran about 8/10 tests with all passing.

Anything else I can do to verify? I am about ready to drop some dough on a larger faster drive and wanted to be sure it'll remedy the problem.

Bumping. I have been told this make have to do with a fan..strange. But the only moving things are the HDD and fans.

Also, I seem to be missing some of my diagnostics. I can go into one area, but then another area says the partition is missing or empty.

I did wipe it once before. How do I reinstall that now, or the next wipe or new disk?
