I'd have a look around the internet sites like Amazon or Dabs and see what well known brands look like a good deal.

WD Scorpios tend to top the best seller lists. As far as I know they're reliable (not so sure about the WD external drives). You'll probably find the 320 gig versions are hardly any more than the smaller ones.

Ice Cold nailed it! Get the WD Scorpio Black series from Newegg. Best place to buy from. Between Internals, Externals, and Laptop drives....I have 16 WD drives. They all work great.

If it doesn't have WD on it, then I don't want it.

Ok, on a dell 1520/1525 is it a sata Not ide interface i need?
Am i right in thinking scorpio blues are 5400rpm and blacks are 7200rpm? And that any new scorpio blue/black will work in my laptop?

    Will this one work ok?

well the one I showed you is a Black 7200rpm that uses less energy than a 5400rpm thats why its so popular.

IDE well its 2010 I did not know IDE was still around.
