Hi, this morning i did some internet surfin etc on my lappy... when i get back from school, what i realize is the hard drive only has 4gb left! I still had 26gb when i left!! wth is goin on?

It sounds like you have a serious case of the viruses...spyware?, maybe even ShadowCopy biting you. Done any FTPs or running a background download service that suddenly got a hot connection?

Vista System Restore creates restore points every couple of days and writes huge amounts of data to disk. Try disabling it (which clears all the restore points) and see how much space is released.

Another good idea would be to load up WinDirStat and see where that space actually went. Then you can nip it all in the bud
