OK, so now here is the thing:
I am getting a replacement system next week, and I am still deciding whether I should pull the current HDD out then put into the replacement system or re-install everything again...any thoughts? Would there be any incompatible thing like recognizing hardware, service tag...etc? Also, as the current HDD didn't perform the clean install, I am afraid that it is not as fast as it should be...

    Thanks in advance!

Transferring your HDD is a good idea only if you have confidential data on it. Otherwise it doesn't really matter. Just delete all partitions on the old system and send it to Dell.

This time you can try a fresh install on the new system. I never found Dell's OS installation good enough!

I did this with a replacement unit that Dell sent me. I took the HD out and swapped it as i had deleted my recovery partiton when i did a clean install and i wanted it back. I sent the replacement unit back with my old HD.
You should really swap the HD covers as well as they will have the wrong COA tag on it otherwise. I never did this. It doesn't really matter though anyway. I was later upgraded to Vista Ultimate anyway and i got a new COA that i ended up putting on the back of my notebook.

p.s I never got a replacement just to swap out my HD. I got a replacement because i was offered one for a very slight comestic issue on the lid of my laptop it was really minor but i took the replacement anyway. The replacement was the wrong colour and other stuff so i sent it back to Dell.

Thanks sinstoic, rachuk! So now 1 Yay 1 Nay...Actually, even I am going to perform a clean install, as I am going to use Vista Ultimate's back up function, I am afraid that there will be actually no change at all...I mean, those Dell stuff will just go from the old HDD to the new one...Is this true?

If they are same spec, just swap it. That's what I did when I got my system replaced, and didn't hear Dell complaint about it. Dell did tell me not to swap it though, but I was like.. how you going to find out anyways lol, and swapped it.
