I was messing around with my vostro 1500 when i saw the option to enable "write cache and advance cache" under the drive's property menu (which apparently can improve the drive's performance). My question is do most of you guys enables to option/does in general laptop users uses the option? I am a bit worry about enabling the option due to it's warning of data loss, if power were to go out. (but there's always the battery right?). So what setting do you guys enable? both checked or none at all?

The write cache is slightly risky on a desktop but it is not likely to be a problem on a laptop.

I have Turbo Memory and this disables the RAM write cache option, since Turbo Memory is a nonvolatile cache so no point in caching the cache.
