    Hello,

I finally tried out the HDMI on my XPS M1330 to a tv and the video seems to be working fine. I set the default audio to HDMI and get some sound tover the HDMI but I'm only getting audio out of the LEFT channel. I ran the sound test from the sound settings, etc and i click on left speaker icon and get sound, then i click on right speaker icon and see the animation but no sound.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

    Thanks.

Hmm, I think the cable is fine. I used to use it to my tv from a dvd player before I put the tv on the wall and needed long cables. I generally used a seperate digital out but I'm sure I tried it using audio to the tv and it had both channels.

Strange, It works for me ok.

Maybe try updating your Sigmatel audio drivers.

Well I tried another HDMI cable with the same results.

Kinda fixed it I think now though.

Then I went to Dells site to see if there was a newer Sigmatel driver but it listed it as the same as what I already had. I decided to reinstall it anyways. After installing the one from Dells site I noticed it is actually slightly older driver than what came on my system. At first the right channel still didn't work. Then I tried restarting the computer and now it works. Weird.
