1024 RAM, 30 gig drive, SXGA+ screen., cd/dvd, 9 months extended warranty left 2.3 yrs old 30 day money back guarantee.

Looking for better quality than same priced new ones. but is it worth it? I simply don't have the $ for equivalant new ($1800+) and needs are simple but want the machine to last.

Need to decide in a few hours.

I'd say you are better off getting a new one...the C series latitude is pretty dated. You can get a Dell Latitude D510 (new) for around 650 if I am not mistaken, also look at the Dell i6000.
