I began my reformating by inserting MD3 Disc into my drive. (I had MD2.0). It told me to boot up through the dvd so i did. It made sure I knew it would erase everything on the hard drive, I said ok. I then told it to leave 45 GB in Drive C and the rest in Drive D or w/e. I clicked yes and it came up with these errors

Failed to update bios with MD3 Sector

[doit.bat] MD3 Patch - error setting up MD3 power button.

and then when i hit ok it brings me back to the screen where i can set up how much space i want in partition C...WTF DO I DO? Grr -.-

it did say that partitioning was completed...what do i do??
    can someone please help me.

I got from SG's Guide : "Once the drive is partioned, the user will be prompted to insert the OS installation disc. Select the option to reboot, press F12 at the Dell logo and boot from the DVD to load the OS."

That doesnt happen to me. I probably just wont be able to use Media Direct right?

someone please help me and say whether i should just forget about MD and move right onto windows...because right now i just have DOS on my laptop

You could put the Windows CD in and see if it sees the partition(s) supposedly created by MD?

i just reinstalled windows, it didnt ask me for the keycode, nor for validation. And under My Computer it says that its Windows Media Center 2002 edition, but the disc says 2005. Hmm.
