    hey guys!

Well I recently ordered the Dell Studio 15 and it should be coming by next week. I got the 2.16 ghz, 3gig, 320 gb hd, and the 256 ati radeon mobility for 850. Day by day i hear about the negative feedback on the studio 15 and it makes me iffy.

    Well heres the pickle.

I came by a deal at office depot for an HP Pavilion dv6926nr Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz, 15.4 inch WXGA, 3GB RAM, 250GB, with an x3100 video card. for 750.

What do you think i should do

i really like the look of the hp but the factor of me not going for is is the integrated graphics instead of the dedicated. is the x3100 good for cs and other games?

The laptop is for school and a bit of gaming like CS.

HELP! the deal is going away tomorrow.

It'll play CS though I bet . . . I would go for the HP. Though, the studio is offering a better CPU, and the GPU is not part of the current Nvidia defect issue. Of course, I wonder how HP's customer service is.

I'd say go with the studio. For that extra 100$ difference, you get a bigger hard drive, the 3450 ATI (which will run CSS maxed, no problems), and a better CPU.

And honestly, you hear a lot of negative feedback here because people come here to find solutions to problems... why would someone stop by to say "It's great!" other than to counter the bad vibes?

Mine was awesome, aside from the crappy sound (and the fact that there was another studio for a much lower price). The keyboard flex is only noticeable if you pound on the keyboard like a monkey. If you type like a normal person, or even if you type rather forcefully, you won't even notice it. Speakers suck, but what are you gonna do? It's a laptop. Buy some external speakers and crank some rock. :D

You'll love the studio, don't worry about it. And even if you don't like it, just send it back for a full refund. No downsides here, aside from perhaps a lil' wasted time.

Well you can't try it out if you don't open it, can you? :D

No, as long as you send it back within 21 days of recieving it, you get a full refund, shipping included. If you send it back after that, you may be charged a 15% restocking fee, as well as shipping. But 21 days should be more than enough time to decide if you like it or not. ;)
