    HELP - keyboard malfunct4ion

    i have the above laptop, its about a year and a half old and decided to give me trouble today.

    some of the keys type the wrong or extra letters.
    example:

    t4his is what4 t4his looks like unedit4ed.

    here is a number example:
    23T456Y7]89[0

    UGH insert4 exclaimat4ions because t4hose aren't4 working eit4her.

    t4his was a gift4 from my7 grandma who did not4 purchase a warranty7 so i'm a bit4 scared of my7 opt4ions.

    i hope someone can help. i read about4 t4ight4ening t4he screws and t4hat4 hasn't4 seemed t4o work for me.

    remove the keyboard cable from the motherboard and reinsert it back into the motherboard. if this does not work, try buying a new keyboard either from dell or ebay.
