I was moving out of my dorm and cleared out most of the stuff, but the janitor thought I finished clearing out so she threw away the rest of my stuff thinking they were garbage, this includes my m1330 box (NOT the notebook of course!) But inside the box are the receipts, CDs, and software that originally came with my M1330. Good news is I was able to retrieve most of the stuff from the garbage bin  But I just want to make sure I got most of the stuff back.

Can anyone tell me what originally came with the M1330. I couldn't find the box so the labels on the box are gone. They are not important, right? Here are the stuff I got back:

6 CDs: Windows vista reinstallation disc, MS Works, Mediadirect (in a package wrapped with plastic), dell webcam manager disc, drivers and utilites disc, and roxio.

    Did I miss any CDs?

The manual and product information guide are there. The xps wiping cloth and the cd holder are there as well. I also found the Quick start guide.

    What else?

headphones, expresscard remote, antivirus (trend micro?), adobe software (at least this is what came with my m1330 and i didn't specifically request either the antivrus or adobe software).

right, I always have the headphones and remote with me. My M1330 doesn't come with the antivirus software. I don't think mine comes with any adobe software either but I am not sure. What adobe software is it??

If you didn't order any Adobe software, it was probably either Adobe Reader or some form of trialware.

As an XPS customer Dell will give you replacement CDs once for free.

I would be more concerned with finding the receipts. Most of the other stuff like adobe can be downloaded.

I got the receipt. It's the paper that list all the parts of the notebook with order number and stuff, right?

If I got all my CDs back then I don't need to go through the trouble to order the CDs from Dell. From the list of CDs that I posted, am I still missing any?

It looks like you have it all. But I don't have an M1330 so I can't confirm for sure. Ordering CDs from Dell is FREE, so there is little harm if you want to be sure.

I'd be calling the manager of the dorm facility and leaving a strongly worded complaint.

For a while Dell was giving Adobe Photoshop Elements (full version) for free with the XPS systems and a 36 month Trend Micro subscription so thats what I was referring to. Other than that, looks like you have everything.

Ooh one more thing, did you get the SB Advanced HD audio? If so there is a CD for that as well.

Do you have the list of included items? You can log in and see what you've ordered.

honestly there is no need for a complaint. she was just doing her job. you have to understand that A LOT of kids leave sh*t behind when they move out...so she probably thought it was trash.

i threw my entire xps box away and only kept the little leather booklet in which i keep the cds and micro towel. everything else is just junk. the paper work can be retained via online. for warranty purposes all you need is the notebook, dell retains all the necessary stuff and will even ship you a new box if you ever need to send in your notebook for repairs. this must be your first notebook? after a few you will realize all the packaging is really useless and over time can take up a lot of valuable space.

anyways, relax, i think you're find.
