    HOW does shipping work with Dell is One buisness day worth it ?

    Hey guys quick question I really want to get this laptop I see from Dell as soon as possible but wondering If diffrent shipping standards really change how fast computers get to you from dell.

    3-5 day shipping is free
    next buisness day $80.00

    now i played with both options but both say a long shipped date of 25th of this month now wondering if anyone could fill me in on dell shipping procedures or how long it normally takes to get notebooks (e1705)

    Money is not a real issue but dont want ot waste$80.00 if it will be only a day diffrence or so

    Get the 3-5 day shipping, then e-mail customer support; they will upgrade your shipping to next-day if you ask them (nicely, of course). I did this, and they upgraded my shipping for free. :)

    I had order issues due to their errors, so when I called them up earlier this month I asked them to put a rush on it internally and upgrade it to next day shipping for free. They topped that to keep my order and refunded the entire shipping cost (I had chosen second day). All they have to do is think you'll walk from the order and they'll do back flips to keep that order going. It wasn't supposed to ship until tomorrow but I have had it since Monday.

    aww, i wish i had done that. i was a sucker and had to wait that extra day.

    all in all, though, with 3-5 day shipping, i got mine in 6 days, which included a full weekend. ordered wednesday, recieved next tuesday.

    never believe the estimated ship dates, every one of them were over by a little or a lot (at one point, it said it would take 3 weeks).
