    Hacked 1720 Bios or M1710 BIOS on an Inspiron 1720?

    Is it possible or does one exist, I want to unlock the CPU overclocking in the BIOS.


    I am willing to use a utility however I would prefer to do a BIOS overclock.

    I've now read it's not possible to O/C the bios.

    I'll try and decompile the M1710 BIOS to see if there are any noticable differences between that and the 1720 BIOS in terms of overclocking using Salamander and let you guys know if I can find out how to enable BIOS overclocking.

    No you can't use the XPS bios on 1720. If the bios some how installs, it will brick the system at best.
