    Had my pink 1520 for a year

    My 1520 is nicknamed the fagtop (I'm a dude ... with a pink laptop) and almost EVERYONE in my program here at college knows the fagtop.

    Well I've had my inspiron 1520 for a year now. It's been by far my FAVORITE computer I have ever owned ... ever!

    I ordered it last Halloween when my thinkpad died and I had a 4 week estimate on repair :mad: It has stuck with me (and saved my rear quite a few times) when the thinkpad blew it's motherboard religiously every month. Hence why I bought another Dell

    When searching for it, my only criteria was core 2 duo. The cheapest laptop I came across was a 1520 with a 1.5 core 2. I bought it from the outlet. At the time I didn't even know Dell made pink laptops.

    I looked at the invoice and realized I bought a pink laptop but Dell didn't want to cancel for that reason.

    When I got the laptop, I wasn't too happy with the performance of the X3100 so I fired up ebay and bought the motherboard and video card. Made it a good gaming laptop :) That was followed by buying the proper heat sync, 2.0 Core 2 and 3gb of memory.

    All in all I'm pretty happy with my 1520. It's definitely a one-of-a-kind machine since it's been upgraded.

    And it's no longer pink, it has a sticker on it.

    I thought you covered it up so it gunmetal color... Oh I'm not sure but the name your college friends have for the Laptop may not be totally appropriate. Just FYI.

    That's also Vicky Secret's favorite color.

    Alcoholic beverage ... haha. Nah it's an energy drink. Last fall I LIVED on energy drinks. It does look like a beer can but I prefer bottled beer anyway ... that is I will prefer bottled beer when I turn 21.

    At least it is distinguished, or at least it was. As long as you are happy with the fagtop, that's all that matters! :D As the famous Seinfeld line goes, "Not that there is anything wrong with it!" :p

    Great story, but I think that shirt is a bit faded...it looks almost like it matches. ;)

    I'm just teasing, of course. Maybe my husband won't use my purple one then...hmmmmm...
