I just wasted 45 minutes trying to get a discount or free delivery or student discount or the EPP thing over the phone, anything! But they wouldnt throw me a bone, i think it might be because i always get put through to the india call centres.
Is there a number for dell UK? Also anyone got any haggling tips?

Trying to get better deals can be tricky, especially this time of year. Take that with the horror show Dell is having with the 1645 situation, and I'd just say good luck. Sometimes it's the person you get, sometimes they know you'll get it anyway, sometimes they just don't want to be hustled.

Look up their Business Sales phone number. They will sell you Consumer products, but most of their call centers are in US. The same works with tech support.

had the same issue today - let me know if you find a solution to getting something out of a haggle.

I would call the EPP phone number. I dont have it on me, but they are all located in texas from my experience and should be able to sell non-epp.

I have never had any success trying to negotiate with their retail level reps. If you have any reason whatsoever to set up a business account, do that (so they can see that you are registered when you call), and then call the business line. As someone else noted, all of their reps are in the U.S. instead of India (so there is less of a language barrier), and they are used to haggling. I bought an E6500 last December for $300 less than the list price, AND they threw in a mini 9 for free. That was a better deal than anything they had on their website at the time.
