    First post. :)

Four years ago, I ordered my first laptop from Dell - an Inspiron 600m for college. Then, around this time last year, my hard drive quit. I ordered a new one. Everything went well for a year or so before my Inspiron decided to self-destruct. Having just been accepted into graduate school, I decided to buy a new computer rather than spend more money to fix my Inspiron again. I did lots of research (especially on this forum!) and ended up deciding on a Studio 15.

Orignally, I ordered my Studio in Spring Green. I was a little bit wary of ordering this color because I was afraid it would be a kind of BAM! IN YOUR FACE! kind of green. However, I liked the images of the color that I saw on the Dell website and ordered it anyway. Six days later, I came across pictures of the Spring Green color on these forums and I HATED it. (No offense to Spring Green owners, just not my taste. :) ) I called Dell that night to cancel and spent only about 5 minutes total on the phone with Customer Service before they cancelled the order for me. No long waiting; no hassle. I was very pleased with the service. Dell offered me the same price I originally had on my first laptop. I ordered the same configuration in Plum Purple.

When I got online this morning to check the status of my order, I saw the delivery date as being January 23rd because the color had a delay on it of eight days! Waiting that long was not an option for me as I need the system before I leave for school on the 19th of January, so I called Dell again to cancel my order. This time, I was on the phone for about 10 minutes and again, they canceled my order, offered me the same price and changed the color for me. I am now getting a Studio 15 in graphite gray with pink trim. Hopefully this will be the last change I need.

All in all, I'm very happy with the customer service I received as my issues with my order were my own fault - not Dell's. My calls were handled quickly and in a professional manner and gave me the assistance I needed. I'm a happy with the service I received. :)
