I recently bought E1505 and ordered for 80GB HD - I see in BIOS that the total size of HD is only 72GB!

Any clue where am I missing?

Dell partitions part of their hard drives for backups and system restoration. Also a small chunk is partitioned off for media direct I believe.

yes, dell has partitions located on your HDD. Also the difference could be because of the calculation of mb into gb. 1024mb = 1gb, so you don't get exactly 80gb.

For more information on the partitions, please sticky the reformat sticky (link in sig).
