Are you talking about the hardware id found under your Device Manager? I'd bet there are several different LED screens being used in the Studio 15?

Read the hardware id from the Device Manager and plug it into Google? You can also read the Service Tag from the bottom of the machine and plug it into Dell's support site. That'll give you the original hardware configuration of the laptop.

I checked my Studios configuration online with my service tag. It should be LED display I think.

After my query I got this:

"DISPLAY : 15.4IN WIDESCREEN WXGA WITH TR"

So, what kind of screen I have exactly? :)

    Thanks in advance!

I do have 15 steps indeed, but according to Mastershroom, it means nothing.
