I just checked Dell.ca and there is an option for the Studio 15 for a fingerprint reader. There never used to be an option for it. And in the option there are 2 little circles you can click and it says:
    For Mike Ming Artwork.
    Other.

    What do you think?

I think that maybe the "For Mike Ming Artwork" means that you get that cool flower design??
    Here is a link.

The fingerprint reader is in the "Essentials" Part.
    :D :D :D :D :D

possibly the fingerprint reader is now optional.......it wasn't when i ordered mine on the 12th

also......the $50 option for the ming artwork is of course those new styles you can get on your studio instead of a plain old color.....some think they are cool some think they are not......

Edit: When i checked the fingerprint reader on the Studio 15 advertised in the "whats hot" category....there was no option for it (it came default)....maybe you were looking at a particular discounted system which forgoes the fingerprint reader....

that's odd. I haven't personally looked at Dell's CA website but i thought that the finger print scanner was an option. At least on the USA website my understanding is that the finger print scanner is an option on the cheaper systems and is part of the more expensive pre-config systems.

@prophetofsin- weird i just looked at the USA website and its alot different. if you click the link in my 1st post it should take you to the Canada website and you can look at it and see how different they are.

when i go to dell.ca/ ->great deals on laptops for home -> "choose" studio 15

i see the fingerprint reader as an option under my essentials.....only you can't un-click it and not get the fingerprint reader....

also about the US vs Canada.......theres quite a few differences (canada=less options) for example we Canadians have to get that beautiful backlit keyboard as well....

exactly! LOL. I'm one of those people that don't turn on to many lights because I'm trying to help save the earth so the back lit keyboard is Perfect! :D
But I am alittle upset that Canadians don't have as many choices as the US.
