Has anybody hooked up their XPS 1530 to a full 1080p tv? Is the output at full 1080p?

err, what type of connection are you referring too? DVI or HDMI connection will, it will treat the TV like an lcd monitor capable of displaying 1920x1080.

yes - using hdmi, and also component cables.

you need to set the resolution of the external monitor to 1920x1200, and then the refresh rate to 60hz - and it'll output at 1080p.

i've been outputting with my acer 5920g for awhile now which has the same 8600 card w/ HDMI, so I am hoping that I won't have any issues with Dell. I am only curious if XPS has HDMI 1.3 in it.

I hooked my m1330 up to a 1080p over hdmi. The highest resolution setting in the control panel was 1920x1080, and that was pixel perfect.

You've already got answers...but...1920x1080 via HDMI out of my M1530 with no problems into my 60" Sony SXRD rear-projection TV.
