I have a 2 yr old system. Need to squeeze out whatever performance out of it as I can, hence looking to overclock. I havent found any helpful posts on this subject.
Even after opening my lappy wasnt able to locate the PLL chip. I already have an overclocked gpu.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.....
    thanks..

Overclocking laptops will lead them to die fast.

What are your system specs? Dell locks down their notebooks pretty well so overclocking isn't likely.

I haven't had any problems due to overclocking my laptops CPUs and or GPUs for that matter. The only thing that "dies" is your slow frame rate. :D

    T2050 core duo 1.66 Ghz on a i945GM chipset (ICH7-M) .
    FSB - 133 Mhz and multiplier - 12
It is the lowest of the Yonah's, so I would guess a good overclocking candidate.
PS: My system runs pretty cool and I know overclocking will shorten the life span. I intend to overclock only while running resource intensive stuff.
I am aware of all the disclaimers...will appreciate if you let me know how its done..
    thanks.
