Has anyone had problems with the durability of their XK309 or WD306?

During my product return call to dell I was told that have cancelled all orders of the XK309 and WD306 pannels as they found them to be far less durable and prone to being replaced due to damage than the RW985.

Has anyone found this to be the case with their LP Phillips screen?

They are pulling out all of the stops for excuses being given to you!

I have not heard anyone comment regarding the LG's having less of a service life than the Samsungs, yet.

They are just feeding you another line.

I think you're right, I hadn't heard of that before either. I'm just glad I am doing the return.

Anyone knows why Samsung WXGA cannot be detected in “Hardware Ids” for M1530? It only shows “Default_Monitor”.

Inspiron 1520 and 1525 properly show SEC3358. I know Dell use the same Samsung panel for Inspiron and M1530.

Maybe one of Dell tactics to hide Samsung panel identification from users to know?

Is that a recently purchased system?

Nice avatar by the way... I have the t-shirt.

Opps!! Actually I wanted to post this in your “Top 10 Questions about the M1530” thread

I received mine in end of January. BTW I checked new WXGA M1530s at Dell official outlet at my place; they still show only “Default_Monitor”.
