Yes, i saw this computer yesterday, and its really cool, it has a new design, its nothing compared to the 1525 and some rumours says that this new Inspiron is the replacement for the 1525, i dont have any screens of the computer yet, i just saw it, and it has some nice design, i heard that dell hired some designers to build that computer from the outside.
This new computer has tactil controls like the volume, and cd controls, also this computer doesnt have a cd tray anymore you just have to insert the cd in, and also there is no securing clip on the lid to keep it closed. This computer is gonna beat Vaio's design for sure, its really cool and really light, its supposed to be launched on june i believe but i dont know yet, its just rumours.
If i get a chance to get you some images i will try to get them and then post them in here.
    Edit:
this is an actual 17 inches inspiron, i couldnt get a hold of the 15 inches edition. but its the same design

that picture is a 17" notebook. 1525 is a 15" notebook, so it cant be a 1525 replacement. besides, the design resembles those of the XPS line. good find.

Hinges, keyboard, trace designs are all non-existent or different on the 1520.

The tag on the keyboard seems to read Inspiron though.

The size of the the keyboard hints at the 17" size, could be the replacement for the i1720.

hm...a 15in model would make less sense though, since the styling would cannibalize the main draws of the XPS m1530.

That would be a very dumb move of Dells behalf, the 1525 is a very new design, to replace it with another one so soon would be bad business planning. Unless they do a take the m1530 but without say, the dedicated gpu.
That would reduce the cost making it viable for the inspiron line, still, I'll keep a watch on this.

Indeed, it would make far more sense if it was a 17" model to replace the 1720, 1725?

It would slot in quite well between the 1730 and the 1530, for those who want a 17" laptop with the style of the 1530 but without the sheer expense, size, low level portability and extreme looks of the 1730.

They have already updated the 15" so logic says that the 17" now needs doing over.

No it wouldn't, since they could make the Inspiron GMA4500 only and the M1530 have the Nvidia 9 series only.

do you happen to remember what ports are on the left side and rear? (most pics show the ports on the right side, which seems to be the slot drive and two usb)
